At our June 12, 2004 Dinner/Dance, we played a fun 39 minute video. It has 40 popular songs from the 70's contained on it. The original video was an extremely large
file, about 10 gig of disk space (almost the entire hard drive of computers 2 years ago). To download it in a timely manner, we have compressed the video. There are two versions, one for dial-up modems and one for high-speed broadband (DSL, Cable, etc.). There is a huge difference in the quality and the size of the picture.
The broadband version is far much better and is the one we recommend.
The video is formatted to be played in the Microsoft Windows Media Player (.wmv format).
Estimated time to Download:
15-60 minutes - downloading dialup version on a dialup modem
2-20 minutes - downloading broadband version on a broadband connection (recommended)
10 hours - downloading broadband version on a dialup modem
1 minute - downloading dialup version on a broadband connection
Saving to your hard-drive (recommended)
If you want to save it to your hard-drive, so that you don't have to download it every time you watch it, then right-click on the download link and select "Save Target as...", then save it to your hard drive.
When it is done downloading, click "Open" to play the video. If you want to play it later on, open the Windows Media Player (Start > All Programs > Windows Media Player) and select the video file from your hard drive. The two different file versions are named
